Sales Director

Summary

The sales director is responsible for identifying and closing revenue opportunities in European markets through engaging prospects and existing clients. Building a eager and cheerful sales team is one of your responsibilities. You can be your own boss as entrepreneurial mindset and attitude is in your nature.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong sales aptitude, a willingness to setup and execute sales campaigns, is customer centred and result driven. In addition the candidate is a team-player and at the start of building one. We need a strong-willed individual who can cope with a fast growing and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of our products and services to successfully deliver our value propositions to prospects and existing clients

  • Maintaining, developing and growing a robust pipeline

  • Generate sales through prospecting and expanding existing customer business

  • Managing and training a team of sales representatives.

  • Keep an eye on the market, being conscious of developments and opportunities in the industry and act accordingly where possible.

  • Have virtual of physical meetings with prospects and clients.  

  • Attending conferences with an active attitude.

Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or within a science related discipline

  • At least 5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within the life science or other academic industry

  • Excellent English (company language) and Dutch, full professional proficiency. Additional German, French or Spanish would be a plus

  • Fast learner

  • Result driven and Can-do mentality

  • Ability to develop a territory strategy

  • Self-motivated professional with ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
